The installation service includes: Locating the packed building on site, constructing to manufacturers standards, applying the roof covering, clearing away excess packaging and tidying up.

Please note: A flat level base needs to be in situ before the installation can take place; we will kindly request photo confirmation of your level base, as well as proof of ample access, to ensure our fitters can install your new garden building without a hitch. We have created this handy How to Build a Base guide, to help you choose the best option.

In addition to this, a 60cm clearance around the building is required. This is to ensure our installers have plenty of room to install your new building in its chosen location, to ensure the building has adequate airflow throughout its life and also to allow easy access for annual maintenance. 

When you place your order, you will receive a questionnaire so you can tell us all about your garden so we can ensure it'll be the ideal spot for your new building. Once the level base has been confirmed by our team, your order will be passed onto our delivery and installation team who will arrange a delivery and installation date(s). Our installation teams operate nationally, so it may mean we deliver and install on different days due to team scheduling. Please visit our Installation Service Page for more information.

Our Portabase installation service is there to help you and save you time. Having a firm and level base is key to elongating the life of your building and will prevent it from twisting and warping with the nature of the wood. When you opt for Portabase installation, we'll send you all of the necessary information to make sure your garden is suitably prepared. This will include ensuring you have suitable access and a suitable build site with at least 60cm surrounding the building.

It is crucial that your new building is constructed upon a strong, sturdy and level base, to ensure a long-lasting build. With a Waltons Portabase, your building will not only be supported by a robust base but it'll be kept level to prevent the wood from twisting and distorting over time.

Made from high quality pressure treated timber, the Portabase provides a raised platform for your building, helping to protect against damp and rot. Our Portabase is quick and easy to install by simply mounting the wooden frame onto the galvanised metal spikes included.
