Why choose a 34mm log cabin?
A cabin built with 34mm thick panels makes for a high quality, strong and durable garden building that's comfortable even during winter. Designed to retain heat with interlocking double tongue and groove timbers, plus double-glazing, these cabins provide a cosy garden retreat whatever the weather. If you’re looking for a garden building with even thicker panels, browse our range of 44mm log cabins.
Do you need planning permission for a log cabin?
In many cases, you won’t need planning permission for our garden buildings, including log cabins, as they have been designed with 'permitted development' rules in mind. However, planning laws have their nuances and various exceptions and conditions apply, so getting familiar with the specifics is crucial.
A general guideline is to ensure garden structures and extensions don't cover more than half the land around your original house. Also bear in mind that planning permission may be required for cabins intended as sleeping areas. It's always wise to check with planning authorities to be sure, and also have a read of our guide to planning permission for garden buildings.
