There’s no better feeling than relaxing in your new summer house with a glass of prosecco in hand. Or we certainly think so, anyway! We were delighted when Grant shared his brand new Prosecco Hut with us, and it certainly proved to be a hit over on our Facebook page, garnering thousands of likes, comments and shares.
Grant and his wife Lisa opted for the 7 x 7 Premier Corner Summer house.
Why did you choose this particular summer house?
Having carried out a full width extension to the south side of the house with new decking, and having had to redesign the garden levels to comply with building regulations, we ended up with a 9 x 10 site for a summer house. After a bit of research, we found the 7 x 7 Premier, and from the photos on your website it was orientated as I needed, which made the selection very easy. Coupled with the competitive price this was a no brainer.
What extra work did you do to customise your new summer house?
My wife Lisa selected the ivory paint colour to add contrast to the decking, chips and fence. It took 3 coats to get it right to protect the exterior of the summer house. I also added guttering and a downpipe to assist with the life expectancy of the summer house. Inside we have 2 wooden Ikea chairs with grey throws, 2 flamingos and 3 wall ceramic flying parrots. I had the electrical contractor wire up sockets for interior lights and colour changing neon strips.
What inspiration did you have for decorating your summer house?
Warm summer Spanish nights with a glass of Prosecco or 2!
What are you hoping to use your summer house for?
Due to the south-facing aspect of our house and adjacent properties, the summer house is the last part of the garden to get the summer sun. We intend chilling at the end of the day, with the doors open keeping out of the wind (it’s Scotland after all).
What do you think of the finished summer house? Are you happy with the results?
The Prosecco Hut is ideal for our site, needs and expectations. The product you supplied is without question the icing to our home improvement. Thank you.
Alternative ways to get your own pub or garden bar
If you’ve been inspired by Grant’s perfect prosecco bar and want to create an entertainment zone of your own, there are plenty of options to consider. The quickest and easiest way to celebrate summer is by installing a wooden garden bar. Whether you’re going for a colourful Ibiza-style party vibe or something cool and elegant, transform your garden bar into a dream drinks station with a stylish coat of paint, mirrors, plants, string lights and some comfy stools.
Or what about the 16 x 6 Maine Summerhouse with Patio Area that offers the best of both worlds? This inside-outside combination building is ideal for all year round use. The sheltered outdoor area is the perfect place to set up your hot tub, outdoor kitchen or alfresco dining area. Inside, the cosy summer house provides a bright and open space to entertain, have fun or simply relax.
And if a traditional pub is more your scene, take a look at how our customer Brad turned his Waltons log cabin into a fantastic British boozer! The attention to detail raises this man-cave to a whole new level.
We think that Grant has done a wonderful job with his Prosecco Hut! Have you transformed your Waltons summer house into a Prosecco Hut or Gin Palace? We want to hear all about it over on our Facebook page! And if you share your Waltons garden building snaps with us, you could end up as a feature on our site or social media!
