When you buy a new shed from Waltons, our delivery team can dispose of your old building so that you don't have to.
Simply request recycling with your main order, and we’ll collect your old shed at the same time as your new garden building is delivered. To take your old shed away, here's what we need from you
Easy to arrange
Select the recycle option when you're ordering your new shed, and our team will be in touch to arrange a date with you for delivery and collection.
You need to do your bit!
Your old shed or summerhouse must be fully disassembled into manageable panels, and stacked at the front of your property.
We're not able to collect:
- roofing felt scraps
- plastic
- nails
- glass
- broken panels
- rubble
- ironmongery
All protruding screws and nails must be removed from the panels. If there’s sharp metal still poking out of the timber, it may not be possible for the driver to safely load the shed onto his vehicle, which means we won’t be able to take it for recycling.
We'll take it away
On arrival, the driver will unload your new garden building to the front of your property, and then load up the old panels to take them away. It’s as simple as that!
A new life, a new purpose
Once the timber gets back to the Waltons factory, it’ll be turned into sawdust, and then converted into biofuel. So it’s worth recycling, and avoiding that trip to the tip!
If you’re not buying a shed from Waltons, but still want to dispose of an old garden building, contact your local council to find out about large item refuse collection. There’ll probably be a charge for this.
Alternatively, there are a number of garden waste collection companies who will undertake this work for you. Just find one in your area, and get in touch. It’ll probably be more expensive than the council service, but you’ll have more flexibility around collection times than the local authority can offer.
